Friday, Jan. 15, 2016 (Day 80)
The lesson for was finding the intersection of quadratic and linear functions algebraically. Instead of graphing, like we did yesterday, the students set the functions equal to each other, move the linear function to the other side, and factored (or completed the square). Once they got the 2 domain numbers, they substituted them into the linear function to find the range numbers. They they wrote the 2 answers as ordered pairs. The assignment was Finding the Intersections of Quadratic and Linear Functions Worksheet.

Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 (Day 79)
The lesson for was finding the intersection of quadratic and linear functions by graphing. The students graph the quadratic function, and then linear function. From there, the identified where the linear function intersects the quadratic function and wrote down both points. The assignment was Graphing Quadratic and Linear Functions Worksheet.

Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 (Day 78)
The students learned how to find the roots of quadratic functions using the quadratic formula. This was similar to Wednesday's (Dec. 16th) lesson, but some of today's answers were complex numbers. The assignment was Page 361 # 2- 12 evens, 18 - 28 evens.

Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 (Day 77)
The lesson for today was finding roots of quadratic functions by completing the square. It was very similar to what we did on Monday and Tuesday (Dec. 14th and 15th). However, most of today's answers were complex numbers. The assignment was Finding Roots of Quadratic Functions by Completing the Square C Worksheet.

Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 (Day 76)
Today's lesson was multiplying and dividing complex numbers. The assignment was Multiplying and Dividing Complex Numbers Worksheet.
